Taking Master’s Courses during the Bachelor’s Degree
It is in general possible to get credit for Master’s courses during your Bachelor’s degree. In doing so you have to adhere to the following committee regulations:
It is up to the individual faculties to decide whether they will allow Bachelor’s students to gain credit for Master’s courses and for which degrees this will be possible. Insofar as this is allowed, the following requirements must be fulfilled:
-> the student must be in their 5th or 6th semester. For longer degree programmes, this should be equated with the two last semester of the number of semesters prescribed for the course. This has to be proven to the examinator through the presentation of your certificate of enrolment. In exceptional cases it is also possible to gain Master’s credit one semester above the prescribed numbers of semesters for the course.
-> the number of credit points for the Master’s degree cannot surpass 6, the maximum amount of credit points cannot surpass 30.
-> the teaching staff for the seminar/module determines whether the student from the Bachelor’s degree is allowed to sit the Master’s degree exam. The examination board is informed about this by the teaching staff.
