Changes to the degrees as a result of the reform processes

In order to prepare teachers in Lower Saxony well for the requirements in their professional field, the Master''s Regulation for the Teacher Education Qualifications in Lower Saxony (Nds. MasterVO-Lehr) formulated basic competences that should be acquired during the course of study. These include the areas of heterogeneity of learning groups, inclusion, the basics of support diagnostics, German as a second and educational language and intercultural skills. These basic competences have now been included in the teaching profession-related courses of study. The amended examination regulations will come into force in the winter semester 2019/20.
