LEIBNIZ JUNIORLAB?

WHAT IS THE LEIBNIZ JUNIORLAB?

Do you want your students to experience a big bang in class? The Leibniz JuniorLab and the LeibnizLab support you in this. With our experiment bus, we make class visits where we bring the fascination of science closer to the children. In addition, we offer professional development seminars for primary school teachers.

TO WHOM IS THE LEIBNIZ JUNIORLAB ADDRESSED?

Primary Schools in the region of Hannover can invite scientific-technical experiments to their classroom for one morning, through booking the Leibniz JuniorLab. Employees of the Leibniz University Hannover will then be visiting a fourth grade class, loaded with exploratory minds and experiments. When it comes to topic of bridge building, it is also possible to attend a 3rd grade class if the topic has already been started in class.

The aim of the visits is to use the natural curiosity of the pupils, to make scientific phenomena experienceable and tangible and to inspire them for natural sciences and technology!

In order to integrate experiments into teaching in the long term and to make them attractive for teachers, we offer workshops on the Leibniz JuniorLab twice a year as part of the Leibniz JuniorLabs. These workshops take place on the premises of Leibniz University Hannover. Ideas for scientific-technical experiments are conveyed, and a corresponding handout is created for better integration into everyday school life. It is important that the experiments can be carried out with everyday or easily procured materials and integrated into the lessons.

Do you have questions/suggestions on/for the workshops or the primary school visits?

The Leibniz JuniorLab is supported by the Stiftung Niedersachsenmetall.
