1. Proposal (2 pages max)

Project proposals should include the following information:

• Guiding research question(s)
• Scope/aspect of the research to be completed at LUH (e.g., publication, prospectus for new project, etc.)
• Prospective collaboration partners at LUH
• Planned dates and duration of stay

2. Academic CV

• Please include a CV that indicates the main stages of your academic career. It should clearly state yournationality, current position, and home institution.
• The Future Education Fellowship is aimed at international researchers. Researchers without German citizenship must have spent at least 12 of the past 18 months outside Germany; German citizens who have been permanently based abroad for at least 5 years are also eligible to apply.
• In addition to research activity, the CV should include significant service and research-adjacent engagement (e.g., public outreach; editorial work at scholarly journals and other engagement in academic communities; educational, political, and social engagement). 

3. List of publications

Please attach a list containing the following publications:

• Your most significant peer-reviewed publications (10 max)
• Your main publications without peer review (10 max)

Additional publications will not be considered.

4. PhD Certificate

            Please provide proof of degree (copy of official diploma or official transcript of records)

Application process 

Applications are due August 31, 2026 for fellowships starting winter semester 2026-27 (October 2026 through March 2027) and January 29, 2027 for fellowships starting in summer semester 2027 (April through September 2027).  

Candidates are selected according to the following criteria:

• Scholarly excellence
• Service, research-adjacent, or other social/community achievements
• Intellectual fit with the LSE and collaborative potential at LSE/LUH
