Through a membership at the Leibniz School of Education, you have the opportunity to actively help shape teacher education at the Leibniz University Hannover. As a member you can elect the representatives of your status group at the university's committee elections. In addition, as a member you have the opportunity to run for the council of the Leibniz School of Education yourself.

Membership for University Students

In cooperation with the faculties involved in teacher education, the Leibniz School of Education works on the development and profile sharpening of the teacher education degrees for university-track secondary schools, vocational schools and special needs education.

All university students may help shape this process by working with the committee of the Leibniz School of Education. In addition, as a member, you will receive important information about the offers of the Leibniz School of Education

Become a Member

Student of the teacher education master’s degrees is automatically a member of the Leibniz School of Education on the basis of their degree choice. Students of other Bachelor’s degrees of subjects taught in school and educational science Master students may also become a member. This is easily possible through a selection on the SAP-Student-Portal.

Membership for Employees

The automatic membership at the Leibniz School of Education per double-membership (Faculty and LSE) is possible for

  • all full-time university teachers at the Leibniz University Hannover and teaching research staff of the subject teaching methodologies and educational sciences

  • Subject Scientists with notable connections to teacher education

The membership at the Leibniz School of Education “upon application” may be requested, if no automatic membership applies.

Fundamentally all full-time employees that partake in teacher education at the Leibniz University Hannover may apply for a double-membership at the Leibniz School of Education.
